Lysander or Padgate high school
Posted on: August 18, 2011
Which one you decide? The school Padgate high wished to change their school name to Lysander high school; this has not yet been confirmed to Lysander although in September 2009 Padgate high school will have changed their name and their uniform, to the Lysander’s uniform and its name by this time all the new year sevens would be entered in this school.
Padgate’s head teacher (Mrs Sherman) agreed to change the way the pupils represent the school as they do satisfy Mrs Sherman. She changed the uniform from being green blazer, white blouse/shirt, green and gold tie, black jumper to Lysander’s uniform, grey fitted blazer, black with golden v neck jumper, golden and black tie, yellow blouse/shirt. This is a massive change to the Padgate pupils already used to the normal green Padgate uniform as they would be comfortable with this uniform.
Mrs Sherman chose the name Lysander because Padgate is over a RAF station so the name Lysander came from a special type of aeroplane that came from an RAF camp. So that is why they are changing names. Also to change parent’s views of the school as most think it is a rough school so less people are going to this school, and this is because attacks are happening around this area of school.
So what do you think? It's your say now!
Now that I have explained reasons why Padgate high school is changing you may choose which you may still be useful:
Lysander- Might get more pupils to have a better life for the future life like jobs and daily life, and to make pupils want to learn more so they will be having a better future.
Padgate- This will stay the same around the area leaving it so fewer pupils will and won’t learn new things.
